I love the 510's, they've always reminded me of a 2002's long lost asian cousin. That yellow one with the SR20DET looks awesome, so much room in that engine bay still... you could sleep in it!
So what Robb... you gonna stop bein such a nancy, and pick up the red one? It seems like a pretty decent price, but definantly a project car!

Looks good Rob...
Joe's a nice guy!
I saw that yellow one with the Sr20DET over 4 years ago...that was Pat's old motor.
Pat has a 2dr. yellow 510 with an SR20DET too, and it moves like no other. I think Pat's is under a 2000lb 510 pushing over 230-240hp from when he was over my place a couple of months ago.
These motors can do more, but then it may be tough to control (keep straight). Pat's car can do the wigglies for a long stretch...and keep up with some high end cars on the highway.
That car is such a blast to drive. He did all the work himself.
From when I last spoke with Joe, he wanted to liven that motor up big time. Can't imagine what can be up his sleeve.

Funny how popular the 510's were...I here this a lot..."my dad owned one of those"....these were quite fun cars to have, especially the 1600SSS versions available everywhere else except North America.
My Dad still owns two and a half 1600SSS'...the half is a slightly mangled parts car.
BTW...still trying to convince my Dad to bring one of the 1600SSS' over the pond so he and I can enjoy it during the summer.
Heck, we have a mild L20B sitting in the garage right next to a fully rebuilt 1600 Datsun 510 motor....

I went to see Pats cousins 510. It was in the autotrader in 2005. He lives near islington + finch if I remember correctly. Guy is a construction worker. The car is very fast.. but not worth what he was asking ($7000) Lotsa rust + bondo on it.
