Nissan Skyline R34

Just got back from montreal last night. Was chillin outside downtown waiting for Genghis Tron to come on stage when I saw this 'exact' car drive by:

Now that I've confirmed for myself that it 'is' possible to sneak one of these cars here, I think I know what car I'll get next

ANY car can be registered here as long as you classify it as a show/race car only. Problem is you can't legally drive it on the streets and no more than like 500kms can be put on the car per year *I THINK*.

even if you can only put 500 KM on it a year, screwing with the odo is always a possibility.

It's not hard to import... hell, I Import/Export all day long. But brokerage/duties/taxes are always costly. All I can say to you is research as much as you can.

Yep! It's the same one in the pics above. It looked sic with the deep dish rims and deep blue hid headlamps. Too bad the guy didn't gun it though, wanted to hear that thing tear it up.

Thats awesome. I'm sure there are ways around it to get this car on the road, or at least have an excuse IF pulled over in order to get by!

The nice thing is though, since theres more of a demand for R32's in japan (since those can be legally plated for everday use in Canada/Australia) the R33/34's for a much less value then when they will be allowed to come to canada, so you would save a shitload of money if you were to import one. They have such stupid rules with this stuff though.... like you can't import it then keep it in storage here untill the car is 15 years old, cause once it reaches the candian border it needs to be given a title (allowed on road or show/race car only) and once its given a show/race title, apperently it can't be allowed back on the roads!

I know, and believe me, when i looked into this that was the answer given to me by everyone i asked. When i was looking at getting an R32, i was shocked to see '91 GT-R's (at the time only 13 years old) cheaper than the 89' GTS-T's over here (GT-R's go for 10-15 down there). Anyways, back when i was looking at them, before there were tons of company's doing this kinda importing R34 GT-R's went anywhere from 18-35 depending on year, options, km's obviously!

Your right... i just looked through my copies of the stock at the time, it was for a GTS-T R34 (bad shape) with a GT-R bumper package on it!
