Supercharged E30
Finally done
I have been able to supercharge my e30 with a M62 Eaton supercharger.
I was able to bring it up to 13lbs at first try but now it is up to 7 lbs.
Since i have a high compression 2.7i, detonation is right around the corner so i have ordered a thick multilayer head gasket with arp head studs.
Here are a few pictures of the setup :
Alternator is on the other side
It all started on my mock-up engine

AS of now none... cause i took the head off the car to put in a thicker head gasket so i can raise the boooost and also put in a fuel management system and timing control unit.....
When i first tried it ...Lets say first gear is worthless and 2nd gear is almost wortless since i spin all the way on both gears and 3rd spins but then i start to have traction so i need to change the Diff sooon and this was at 7 pounds but i want to go as high as i can...

Doesn't look new, what did that come off of? I'd geuss a 3.8l GM but theirs no long shaft extension from the pully to the charger..

Oh, and awesome. If this works out, you may have a customer. I originally wanted to s/c and was convinced to go turbo because of the knowledge base. My e30 has no power steering and the overflow tank can move, leaving the whole left side of the motor if that helps..
Seriously, I'm interested.
