it's a new M thing, much easier at night to read white guages rather then amber or blue, cause your eye doesn't have to work as hard to ajust.
the Mclaren and the M5 are in different categorys, thus it really is not fair to compare a F1 to a M5 as one is a race car made street legal and the other is a 4 door saloon that has been tuned to be fast and track worthy.
