UUC Pullies

Just installed the uuc pullies...but I'm running through a small problem here:

1) When I shift @ redline there is "belt skipping" kind of noise comming from the engine bay. But, at normal shifting there is no noise, only at redline

2) I just took out my cdv too...does that have to do with anything with the pullies going faster and as a result making that noise?

Thanks.

what type of "belt skipping" noise is it? chirping? how long does it last for? did you do any other work on the car? i.e.-something that would have gotten coolant on the belt? have you checked your tensioner pully? maybe it was near time for a change and you may have not noticed because not everyone rips to redline every day so often.

The noise is kind of weird ...it's more of a squeeking noise....and the noise is only there when I hit redline, but then when I shift gears it goes away because my rpm goes lower but then it makes that noise all over again on redline. And I think the tensioner on the e46 is hydraulic, doesn't that mean it will self adjust?

that does not mean it cant fail. id get your trusted mechanic to diagnose this problem as it could be a few things but all can lead to serious problems like the belt snapping because of some sort of small harmonic problem on one of the pullies etc.

Yea, I give up ...I definetly have to get it checked by a mechanic. Thanks

Just go to the UUC website and you can figure it out from there, depending on the shipment etc.
