Fastest gone with my 4 banger
This was last year on my way up to wasaga beach on Hwy50. The different elevation drops make it easier when going down those long steep hills. I hit 195km/h zooming down the 2 lane roads. It was totally a Adrenalin rush

but now that i think about it, i wouldnt be able to do it. Just the idea of ****ing losing control and slamming into a tree or something just freaks the shit out of me. Plus I was going 270 with my good friend, if i got into an accident and survived, id feel so horrible if she had been killed all because of an adrenaline rush.

Sorry, but I'm gonna call BS on this one. 270 Km/h in a 99 328i? Doubtful, as the car simply doesn't have the HP to get up to that speed.
Max, even with the rev / speed limiter removed, is about 240-250 km/h, going downhill.
I'd put my money against the Euro 3.0L doing that much....aerodynamic drag would have a pretty big impact above 200 km/h, and most of the 3.0L Euro's I've seen top out about 250-260 km/h, even on the track.
That's what I hate about threads like this....a bunch of people figuring they're fast drivers, because they've sped on a public highway.
I know at least a few people here who are capable of driving their cars quite well...I just wish the rest would take a driving school, and learn the difference between driving fast, and being a fast driver.
Flame suit on....
Pat

For sure Pat i wouldnt be able to hit that speed with my 328i cause at 220km/h, my car was already in 5000 rpms on its highest gear. but it was with my carerra.
and yeah, big difference between driving fast and being a fast driver. I was just driving fast

At Mosport, my car tops out about 200 km/h at the end of the back straight. (all uphill that darn thing).
However, for comparison sake, I'm also doing about 200 km/h at the bottom of turn 4 (and braking like a b***h going into turn 5).
However, with all of 189 HP, it tops out fairly easily. Most of the Euro 3.0Ls will hit about 220 Km/h at the end of the backstraight, so I'm not really off their top end too much.
In a Z06 I've hit 250 km/h (not much time to look at the speedo beyond that, but we were still accelerating at that point), and in a Viper, about the same.
I'd like to see what one of the LMP-900 cars is doing at the end of the backstraight at Mosport...I'd have to suspect pretty close to 300 km/h, if not in excess of it.
Pat
