ofcourse, im surprised that the honda didnt just flip off the ground or somehow started to fly because its so small and light, but then i guess thats why there were 8 guys inside, gotta have the downforce.

mine was 215-220 before i put the shark injector in. now it should be around 240-260 where ever it redlines but i didn't try that yet.

Re: High Speeds

I brought my car up to 230 km/h, but i can't be sure if this is accurate or not. I think the size of my wheels may effect the speedometer, but who cares, 230 kmh sounds right!

Re: High Speeds

I almost forgot, at 210 kmh, my "eyelids" ripped off my grills. I am currently trying out a set of plastic eyelids in stead of the fiberglass eyelids!

Re: High Speeds

Oh yeah, and when i hit 210 kmh, my fiberglass eyelids ripped off the grills. I am currently on a third set, but these ones are made out of abs plastic!

Re: Re: High Speeds

Well the fastest i've ever gone was on two wheels. All though i wasn't in control. GSXR 750 260km, i was on the back and i all i heard were low beats in my ears. It was on the way up to Wasaga on the 400. The broken line was solid. After a while the line began to fade. (cause i think we went a bit faster)

The fastest i've gone with my R6 was 220km on some deserted road up north. I felt as if i was getting into a wabble so i had to slow down.

In my b/f 325is, the fastest i've gone was 240km down 427 south. He slaughtered my friends' boyfriend in his brand new 2002 prelude. He was trying so hard to keep up, we passed him like he was a turtle and we were a jumbo jet.

I got ya beat!!

Fastest that i've ever hit ( on my cbr929rr of course ) was 270kn/h.

Smooth as silk baby!!!

By the way fast_gal, r6's are notorious for their shakes at high speeds due to their steep rake. Buy a steering dampener and you'll see a huge difference!!

Thanks, unfortunately i sold my bike about a year ago. I did find out about the shakes after that. All in all it was my favorite bike. The 2003 R6 has lost a few more pounds this year and it will be interesting to see what feedback yamaha gets. And also to see if yamaha was able to address that problem with some of the other changes made for 2003.

BTW, i'm sure we went faster than 260 but i was too scared to look at the speedo. When you're flying by cars that may make a sudden lane change anytime, you kind of start holding on for dear life. BUt i'm glad to hear you're part of the club!!
