Arrow A friend might sell me a C.A.I. -> Is "Vibrant" any good?

Hey,

It's gonna be pretty cheap cause he's getting another one. Wondering if these intakes made by "Vibrant" are alright for the 325's and if I should buy it and install it

Thanks,

Flaviu

its kinda like canadian tire brand stuff. but it will be ok, better than the stock air box, that is if the diameter of the pipe is same or larger than the stock inlets

i never understood how intakes go for so much money. Does this have a heatsheild? Otherwise, its just a cone filter and PVC piping.

prolly better than your metal one that gets so hot you can't touch it after you're ripping it

I had one before cat and muffler on my mx6 .. sounded deeper then any other mx6 around (not high pitch civic sound) even if it was a 2.0. Either way its better then a megaflow.

if its cheap, grab it..otherwise it wont do anything for you but sound and if cops want to check ur hood (trust me, they do for even stock cars sometimes) then its more hassles.

i got my full cai (filter behind the bumper) setup off ebay for like $65 usd Came with an aluminum pipe, and a K&N air filter. Works great sounds good, PIPE DOES NOT EVEN GET THE SLIGHTEST BIT HOT, even after long or spirited drives. I cant see spending 300 bucks for some crap as Intake that will give me the same results, your just buying the name most the time.
