imho the bugatti veyron is so over rated. they take 16 cylinders and 4 turbos to produce a 1000hp. bmw in its racing days had a 2litre single turbo which produced 1200hp.

the LED lights blinking that it just an illusuion, it's because LEDs actually spend more time off than they do on, it's just they're flashing so fast they look to be on all the time to the human eye, but the shutter speed on that camera was fast enough to catch then in the off state, so no fancy effects, if you were actually sat in the car behind they would look like regular brake lights

you are WAY oversimplifying this. the fact is that this car is one of the fastest in the world, a limited edition production car that is highly regarded. some manufacturers use technology to extract horsepower out of a small engine, ie honda; others use engine size, ie viper. I don't believe there is a right or wrong.

any car manufac. these days can take 16 cylinders 4 turbos and a stream lined body and make it do over 200mph. Take the m6 for example if it had an extra 500hp it would surely do a near 253mph. It does 212mph stock (probaly with the gover. removed) so it should be able to get the extra 40mph down quite nicely.

great, let them build it. let me know what their R&D costs are, how many units they'll sell and what those costs translate per car. then, let's guess how many will actually go through with it.

anything is possible in theory. in practice, its a whole different ballgame. business management 101.
