Can I install 1.8l engine into 1991 525
Anyone know what will be involved in putting a 1.8l into a 1991 325.
I found the car cheap and I have an engine, trans. and shaft out of a 1994 318.

I don't see why not.... but, you might have issues finding a subframe/mounts to make it fit here.

They did have E34 518's in europe as far as I know (I saw one at a BMW dealer while I was living in Germany)

you want this in 535 or 325? the 1.8L will be hella slow in an E34.
