yar it has 280 hp and similar tourque i believe. It also weighs in very close to the 330. However the two cars are almost exactly the same in 0-60 and 1/4 mile. the 330 has 230 hp or something similar.

Strange yar?

Don't pay that much. If you get absolutely EVERY option the G35 has, you will pay around 38K MSRP. There have been a lot of dealer mark-ups, but those that look around are getting them at MSRP. It's a great deal...as of now, it's between the 330 and G35 coupe for my next car. Lemme guess what all of you vote that I get?

As far as the horsepower goes...and you folks might be able to answer better than me. Isn't BMWs horsepower measured at the wheels? I know for a fact that the 280 HP from infiniti is NOT. Not sure of the loss to the wheels, but I'm sure it makes it very close to being even.

Now that I think about it...I bet 47K was Canadian right? 38K is American. Not sure of the conversion.

We get a better deal when $US to $CND is taken into account for some reason. Car are priced as high as the market will bare and I suppose Canadians are a little more reluctent to paybig bucks for a car. As far as 280 HP G35 vs 225 HP 330Ci that's just how the Japanese market their cars. The torque peak is usually near or at the red line boosting the HP drastically. It's a true number but if the car is slow from 2000 rpm to 5000 rpm then the car is just plain slow around town. Doesn't stop it from being a good cat though. I like the look of the G35

the 0-60 time is the same because of the gearing, 330ci comes with 5spd, G35 is 6spd...its the different gear ratios and the final drive ratio that makes the 0-60 the same...BMW is a highway car as where infinity probably made it more of city than hwy cruising. its the different weight of the car too....

also, i dont think the bimmers are measured at the wheels...the friction loss is what, 20%? that means e46 M3 is 400HP at the crank! i dont think thats true...and even E36 3.2L us spec would be 308hp at the crank, and eurospec would be even more for the EVO version!

Yeah, I guess you are right about that..but 400 HP would be nice huh? Can't remember where I heard it was measured at the wheels though..I'm sure it was some forum.

So is anyone ever going to post the Canadian dollars to American dollars formula?
