Help Needed!!! Stereo Installation

I am a new owner of 1991 BMW 318is and I am in love with it~~~~ Soon, I'll post some pictures and will be needing a lot of advices from all of u.

To start of, I need your help installing a stereo.

I took the origina stereo out but can't seem to find power wire to the new stereo. Here's what I know so far.

1) I have four wires that seem connected to power.
Two of them are in a black socket that says "12v+" on the top that hooks into slot that says "IGN" and "GDN"
The other two are connected to small socket. One wire is yellow and the other is white.

2) There are two wires connected to the back of the stereo. One is brown and the other is thick black wire. They both seem like ground wires...but not sure.

3)There are two wires for the rear speaker and two wires for the front. My questions is where the hell is the Tweeter speakers??
and also, how do you distinguish from "-" and "+" for each speakers??


I am very frustrated right now....*devil*

I'm not a stereo expert but instead of attempting to do it yourself,spend the $50 at a local stereo shop and install the headunit.I can recommend you to a shop. Where abouts in the
city are you located?

I would also recommend changing the factory speakers as well. They really can't produce good sound.

It seems so simple and wanted to save few bucks...hehe
but if no one knows, then i guess i have no choice.

If you know any shops in Downtown or Scarborough let me know.
I live downtown but work in Scarborough, so either works for me.

I'm not sure about E30's but I know that E36's have a univerall bracket with all the wiring setup in it. I bought mine from the dealer and all you do is match the colours of the wires from your head unit to the wires from the bracket (really easy). Call the dealer and ask if you can get the same.
