Are all european headlights glass?

I was on ebay de and saw a few styles of lights. H7 H1 OEM and some cheap knock off one piece. Now the question is are the H7 and H1 OEM lights all glass lenses? That is to say they are NON US spec which I assume comes stock on e36's in Germany.

Yes.. the H7 and H1 are both glass lenses. I would assume that baserd on the price of some of the cheap one-peice headlights that they have a plastic lense.

The H7's apperently have better light output than the H1's (they came on NEWER E36's). But the H1's are projectors!

So if the H1 are projectors, the H7's are ___ ?

Yes, Big T is right. The H7's came on newer EURO E36 projectors, and i'm not sure how they improved the light output, but it does light up pretty nice. I would imagine it lights up similar to how the US non-projector E46's light up (which have a very nice light output.... possibly better than my projectors!)

The reason I was askin is there is tons of lights on ebay.de. They are about 110-200 euros which from what I have seen is cheaper than here.

Ya... they're MUCH cheaper when you order them from euro cars cause they're a dime a dozen there. Its the same as all the people who sell US headlights over here. Ever E36 has US headlights stock, so who the hell is gonna but them if they already have them.

If you can get them down here for a decent price (shipping!!) then go for it

All stock/oem european-specification headlamps have a glass cover.
Not all aftermarket headlamps have a glass cover (even if they're from europe).

The plastic cover headlamps were provided around the rest of the world. (Africa, South America, Australia, etc.)
