I dont' know. I just did the test again this morning and got
1 MB
I guess that's pretty good eh? I tried doing the print screen thingy again but failed due to my lack of computer skills.
Julien! How the hell do you get a connection that fast? DAMN!!!
Since Bell started limiting d/l like 2 months ago it was only time that Rogers did the same.... not surprised, and not happy either.

I got 3416.06 kilobits per second....not bad for my house.
Wait until I get into the office Julian, I'll see if I can compete with that one....
Sounds like somebody was playing around with a connection at work...OC-3, or OC-12?
Either that, or a screen cap from one of the guys at Bandwidth place in Calgary....
Pat

Compared to all connection types worldwide, yours is poor

Yeah right. Only two ways you're able to generate that speed.
One, the file is locally stored in cache, rather than actually being downloaded from the net. Hence, it's stored locally on the PC, and internet speed isn't actually being tested.
Or, Gamite is massively rich, and has an OC-3 dropped into his house (at the price of about $100,000 per month).
I'd suggest option 2 is a little unlikely, as he'd be driving an E39 M5 rather than an E34 535....

Haha, Pat, u nailed it, I was fiddling around with the web page, and I think I pressed back then forward really fast, and instead of downloading the data, it loaded my cache instead.
I'm running rogers, there's no way I coulda gotten those speeds, although my friend is running a T1 from those new condo's beside Skydome, very nice!
