check engine light on when idling.. wierd

today i noticed my check engine light turn on once in a while when i sat at red light. It would stay of for maybe 10 seconds at most then go away. I feel no difference when driving and the idle seems to be normal at 700? Its weird. I'm guessing a bad sensor or something? I haven't run a diagnostics yet for it b/c the light is only of for a couple seconds.
