CD changer question for E46

OKay, I always wanted a changer for my 330. I just wanted to know if the wiring is already there in the trunk or not and whether an aftermarket unit could be attached in the back and would be strickly plug and play? If this can be done, which changer do you recommend? How do I find the wiring in the trunk?

Thanks for the help
Frank

Your car is already pre-wired for a CD Changer. If you go OEM then it's plug and play. However, if you go aftermarket you'll most likely need an adapter. Also, you need the mounting brackets and a new trim panel for your trunk to accomodate the the CD Changer.

Thanks for the response, I was hoping that I could get an aftermarket changer(12 disc with MP3 playability) and mount it on the top of the trunk(by the speakers and lead the wiring to the wiring on the side. But I will only do this if it is plug and play(if I have to buy an adapter, thats fine as long as I can control it through the head unit and steering wheel)
