Car antenna
Alright so i'm almost done building the carputer, got tv/out, tv/in, tuner, and mobo/cpu/ram/hd done, and os's are loaded.
Now, since i wanna watch tv in the car, i bought some hauppage card. Works great, but reception is shit without an antenna. Any ideas as to the best antenna to use incar?
thanks fellas

watever antenna u buy make sure u get an amplifier with it.
it will improve ur signal strenght.
search for UHF/VHF antenna amp.
Ebay is a good start.

I'd love to know how you're going to be mounting the hard drive to absorb the bumps in the road/bass the stereo puts out!
Show some pic

No pics yet, but the mobo was shockproofed, (using foam) and the hard disk i've never had a problem with. bumps in the road aren't the problem. dre's beats + my subs are, though

You still need a starter? Since you've been good to me i can say my starter is going again and get you a brandnew one. I'll check on the price for it tomorrow and let you know.
I dont think you would need to protect the motherboard since there are no moving parts in there. My only real concern would be with the hard disk drive spinning when the beats are playing/drivin on our wonderful roads and the heads smacking against the platters
