Props to Bimmersport

Probably not necessary to even write this as it's pretty universally accepted that you'll get great service at reasonable rates.

Got my PBR Ultimates done there yesterday. Although I booked an appointment, I was tight for time and Charlie got me in and out in no time flat.

The only thing I have to say is that he's gotta replace some of those Maxim magazines in the waiting area. They looked kinda soggy. . And it wasn't me.

I have to be the third to give Charlie HUGE THANKS. He did my full engine swap in a week and washed out the engine bay making it look spotless. Now with the new engine and MarkD chip installed, the car is alot of fun!

Thanks again Charlie! Good well done!

Actually, I want to get a new ride next spring so this one I just wanted to get going again quick. I had no time to wait on an M or 328 engine as I needed the car asap for work, so I found a nice 325 engine through Bruce (Temp).

With that engine, the Mark D chip and the higher diff that my car has - it's given me some good kick now. I just had the chip done today at lunch and I can't wait to get out and drive it again!

Neil, you gotta see Jasper's (Wasabi) car in person. He's pimpin 19 inch RG-R's, has a front end you won't see on every other E36, and has one of the meanest exhaust note i've ever heard. Pure hotness I must say.

I think he just swapped it for teh more power, now his car will drive as hot as it looks

i think charlie and rocco should have a race who can swap a motor faster.

(i just watched rocco swap a s52 in less than a day)

we need 2 cars for (presumably free) engine swaps

Thanks for all the great comments guys. we do are best to accomadate everybody. It's not easy when you have 5 big jobs (engine jobs) on the go. But we do our best.

propr'one:
It's not about how fast you can finish an engine swap, it's more important how good and clean it comes out in the end.
I've seen charlie swap an engine in less then a day but he's extremley picky with the final touches.
he treats each and every car that comes in here like his very own.

For the record, he didn't take a week to do the engine itself. I had other parts to wait on that needed to be installed on my car. I had to replace the exhaust, and many other parts that were not transferable from my old motor.

The moral of the story here is not that who's faster - the fact is that we have 2 damn good mechanics on this board that we can use instead of paying dealership charges and getting a good job done on both ends. I have been to both shops numerous times and I can say that both guys know what they are doing...

I rather have my car sit there for a week, getting worked on by Charlie at bimmersport while my swap is getting done, instead of doing it in one day and having to return the next cause something went wrong.

Like everyone else said, its not about how long its about how good, and there aint no mechanics in town that can top the work that Charlie and Mustafa do. Keep up the good work boys.
