what's ur thought on this combo???
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...MakeTrack=true
im pretty interested in this setup as it is very cheap and probably do what it says it can.
its double din, so I could probably remove the obc and install it there. (can I move up the obd(its not obd, its digital clock I have) to where the deck used to be?

On an e36, there is not enough room behind the OBC for a double din, unless you begin modifying. The air-ducts run behind there.
Remove your OBC and you'll see what I mean.

I've never heard of valor.
I just sold an Alpine screen for much cheaper than that with a PS2. Search for CVA-1004. They need an external dvd drive, but you can get a PS2 for about the price of a mobile DVD player and then also be able to play video games. It's easy to set up. You just hard-wire a power inverter to the cigarette lighter for the PS2(just remember to turn off the inverter when done...it's annoying to find a discharged battery). Mount the PS2 on the transmission well with velcro and it'll be within reach. All that is still cheaper than that system. You can also buy a 50 dollar module to hoook up a CD-changer, the PS2, and other screens.

Some things on Ebay are good to buy, but I would not waste my money on decks, or anything to do with car audio. But it is up to you. But I bet you can find a better deal if you went to a car audio store... Just my .2cents

I was thinking of a similar setup, but scrapped the idea because of such little space. Have you thought of custom fitting a headscreen in the same location?
