Feeler : E36 Euro S50 Motor and all

Ok, this is a feeler, if I do not cover my cost, then I'm going to cancel this...

I went a lil crazy and purchased an S50 from Europe...yes, a real Euro spec motor and.... wait.. and... since I had to be the shooter, i said to my guy... " sure.. 6 speed tranny, through it in..."

here's the actual email from the wrecker who i've dealt with on numerous occasions.

"Hi Mike,

Yes, I still have the 6 speed gearbox and Euro 3.0 m3 engine with 57,000 miles on it..UK car. All of the parts com with the engine, wiring loom ecu’s, oil cooler, expansion tank, phelum, air flow meter, air box, fuel rail injectors, etc etc. There is no damage at all, it is coming from a car with rear end damage only."

so, maxbimmer people.... you have 5 days to decide or I must cancel before he ships... I honestly almost got run over by a FORD EXPLORER when the wife to be heard this.. my cost is $5896.00 cnd shipped.. plus the duties, taxes - to be determined.

serious people only... I will require a 50% ( $3000.00 ) deposit if you are serious.

thanks,

mike

I've read that the S50b30 had a problem with the sulfur content of NA gasolines. Simular to the M60 problems from the 5 series.

That problem was on the aluminium block V8 engines with the nikasil coating, not iron block I6's.

^^truth

s50b30 is iron block and weighs about 100lbs more than m20 - not the best match for e30m3, for an e36 on the other hand...
