Help with CD changer

Does anyone know what could be the problem with my cd changer, sound only comes out of left front speakers, and skips like no tomorrow. The speakers work fine on am and fm just not on cd. What do you think??

the laser needs recalibrating to solve the skipping issue.
left speaker only is a problem with the wiring harness.

is it even worth it to get it fixed or should I just look into buying a new one?

Alpine changers work with our stock decks.
Depends on how bad it is.. I reckon it would be cheaper to have it calibrated. (Typically less than $100.)
