NEW! Maxtor 250GB ATA/133 Hard Drives

These two drives are still sealed (unopened) in the original oem anti-static bags.
These are Maxtor Maxline Plus II ATA133 7200rpm Hard Drives.

You can verify that these drives both still have warranty on them by typing in the Serial Numbers on the Maxtor website.

Y635P93E - Warranty expiry date: 11 Sept 2007
Y62DQBDE - Warranty expiry date: 10 Oct 2007

I'm originally looking to sell just one, and keep the other one for myself. Pick which one you want. If someone wants both drives, I'll let them go. (I don't really need the extra drive space the moment, it'd just be nice to have.)

I think a fair asking price is...
$120. Pickup in North Etobicoke.

As always, if you're not happy with the purchase for any reason, I will provide a full refund.

Justin

*shrugs* I think the asking price for a NEW hard drive still sealed is fair. I'm not desperate to sell, if anything I'll just add them to my RAID.

One is sold, the other one I'll be installing for myself this weekend unless someone else needs it.

Just a note. If you're researching prices, these are Maxline Plus II drives, NOT DiamondMax 9. Maxline II is the industrial line of hard drives, designed to replace SCSI and Fiberoptic drives in servers, with more reliability. Also offers 3x longer warranty than the DiamondMax 9 line, longer mean-time (rated for 1,000,000 hours, instead of the usual 600,000 hours). These are intended for 24/7 constant operation, instead of burst operation like usual IDE hard drives, etc. etc, etc... Contact Maxtor's customer support at 1-800-262-9867 for more info.

No worries, you didn't. Those are DiamondMax drives.
They've got some good prices there though.

Never expected you would deliver an insult like that to me. I wouldn't snake any member on the forum, or buyers on eBay alike. I'm disappointed that you'd derogate my integrity like that.

I'm curious, what brands do you prefer? WD, Hitachi, IBM, Samsung?... Seagate, Quantum?

As mentioned the drives do have a warranty still.

Sorry Justin, the only difference between Maxline and Diamondmax is post production. Warranty and testing, hardware is exactly the same.

Sorry Mirek, as mentioned, call the customer support line. That's where I got my information from.

Though I'm not sure how what you said is any different from my reply above. The point again is, if you're researching prices, make sure you're researching the correct drive, as the Maxlines are a few bucks more.

* Second drive is pending sale.

I Second this statement. I have about 5 200-250GB maxtors which need to go in for RMA since they're dead... i just couldnt be bothered to replace them as they'll just fail and i'll lose my data yet again!
