If the standard equipment list is anything like the sedan, those prices are actually quite a bit lower than E46 rates.

the 335i will probably be roughly as fast as the e46 m3. For quite a lot less.

Pricing seems alright, the cars are growing on me, but i far from like them yet.

It put down a whole lot more: 275 hp and 300 lb-ft. A few quick taps on our trusty calculator shows that this engine is likely putting out closer to 350 hp and 360 lb-ft of torque.

E90 - Sedan

E92 - Coupe

The Sedans will be getting the new engines starting September production.

323i - 200hp / 180ft-lb torque

328i - 230hp / 200ft-lb torque

335i - 300hp / 300ft-lb torque (as noted above, this is very conservative)

E65 regular wheel base (745i) vs. E66 long wheel base (745Li) is the first I can think of

Different chassis, I guess. Other examples: E91 is the new body style 3 series Touring, E61 is new body style 5 series Touring, E63 is 6 series Coupe, E64 is 6 series Cab....

Actually, that's not the first I can think of...E36 I'm sure you're aware of - E36/7 is Z3 and E36/5 is 318ti.

BMW Canada announces pricing of the all-new 2007 3 Series Coupés
08/11/2006

Whitby. BMW Canada announced today that the all-new 2007 3 Series Coupé will begin arriving at BMW Retailers this September, setting a new benchmark for performance, luxury, design and value in its category. The 2007 3 Series Coupé lineup expands to three variants, the 328i, 328xi and the 335i, with a base MSRP starting at $43,600.
All versions of the new 2007 3 Series Coupé enter the market with more powerful new engines, improved driving dynamics, exciting new exterior styling and enhanced structural dimensions providing more interior space and comfort. A six-speed manual manual transmission, sport suspension and runflat tires with tire pressure monitor are standard on all 3 Series Coupés, while xDrive all-wheel drive is introduced for the first time in a Coupé - a first in this segment.
The latest generation Dynamic Stability Control System (DSC) is now standard on all new 3 Series Coupés, featuring brake drying, brake stand-by, brake fade compensation and hill-start assistant features.

The BMW 328i Coupé is powered by the latest version of BMW’s lightweight 3.0 liter inline six-cylinder mangnesium/aluminum composite block engine, featuring Valvetronic variable valve-lift technology, with an output of 230 horspower and 200 ft-lb of torque. Equipped with the standard 6-speed manual transmission, the BMW 328i Coupe will sprint from 0-100 km/h in 6.6 seconds.

Notable new equipment on the new BMW 328i Coupe includes 17” wheels with runflat tires and Xenon adaptive headlights with integral cornering lights.
The base MSRP of the BMW 328i Coupé is $43,600, a marginal increase of $500 over the predecessor 325Ci Coupé. The BMW 328i Coupé will reach BMW Retailers in September.

The BMW 328xi Coupé embodies all of the new features of the 328i Coupé and introduces BMW’s xDrive Intelligent all-wheel-drive system for the first time to the 3 Series Coupé family – also notably the first all-wheel drive variant in its segment.

While providing the additional advantages of xDrive all-wheel drive, the BMW 328xi Coupé maintains all of the dynamic handling characteristics of the BMW 328i, with the new 3.0 liter engine providing similarly brisk acceleration, achieving 0-100 in 7.1 seconds.

The 325xi Coupé with xDrive all-wheel drive will have a base MSRP of $46,100 and be on sale late October.

The BMW 335i Coupé features the world debut of a truly extraordinary power unit : the first inline six with twin turbochargers, high-precision direct fuel injection and an all-aluminum crankcase. With a maximum output of 300 horsepower and peak torque of 300 ft-lb, this torque figure available from 1,400 through 5,000 rpm, the 335i Coupé provides a breathtaking delivery of power, accelerating from 0-100 km/h in just 5.6 seconds. Featuring two small low-inertia turbos – each feeding 3 cylinders, high-precision direct fuel injection and dual-VANOS variable valve timing, the new 335i Coupé engine not only provides scintillating performance, but also optimizes fuel economy, with projected average fuel consumption of just 10.3 litres premium/100 kilometres.

Additional equipment upgrades on the BMW 335i Coupé include runflat tires and electric seats with driver memory.

T he BMW 335i Coupe arrives at BMW Retailers in September with a base MSRP of $51,600, a modest $1,200 premium over its predecessor 330Ci Coupé – exceptional value for this level of additional performance and equipment.
Standard equipment upgrades for all 2007 3 Series Coupé models include Dual-Zone Automatic Climate Control, 10 speaker HiFi Sound System with 2 Subwoofers, Auxilliary audio input with MP3 capability, Satellite Radio at Telephone pre-wire, Ski Bag and Light Package including exterior handle lights and interior ambient light strips.

While attractive Premium and Sport packages continue to be offered on all 2007 3 Series Coupés, the option list expands to include Active Steering, LOGIC7 Sound System and the addition of iDrive to the Navigation Package on all variants. For the 335i Coupé only, optional 19” Star Spoke Alloy Wheels with performance run-flat tires are also offered.

Also optional on all 3 Series Coupés is a new, upgraded six-speed automatic transmission with Steptronic featuring a new torque convertor, enhanced management software and significantly improved shift response times. The 335i Coupé with optional six-speed Steptronic automatic transmission and Sport Package will also include steering-wheel shift paddles.
