omg...i saw 2 today...1 parked on Queen St, 1 on Mt. Pleasant, both of them black. What a beast!...the rims are awesome.

Well, it looked M5ish without the side grills. I remember that BMW had produced some M540's before on a limited basis. This one was too brand new to have a badge thrown on it...imo. I could smell the newness from outside...faaack i should've taken a pic of it
Anyways, it could very well have been a badge thrown on, either way it's a sick car!

ohh ok I see what you mean now. 550 with M-Tech package. That doesn't technically mean its an M550.

There are only M540's and M535's. No M550's. The official M cars get full M parts, such as brakes, suspension, seats, etc.. It even has an ///M badge before the number.

The 550 with M-Tech only has the M-Tech aero kit.

But no M badge on the car, only the wheels (IIRC) and steering wheel.


So no, there is not a M550, just a 550 with the M Sport package

also has m sport suspension, or maybe that car doesn't have it. i know around here suspension is part of the pkg as well as the steering wheel, rims, kit.
