buying e39 528ia... what to look out?

Hi guys, like the title says, I'm looking at getting one of these beauties, but don't really know if the car is reliable or just have too much problems to fix... the one I"m looking at has around 130k miles on it and it's an american car... is it gonna last or it just gonna give me the headache? any inputs are apreciated, thanks!
