Amp Cuts Out

I'll be driving along and then the amp will cut out then come back then out...turn the volume down and the amp is fine, then it starts cutting out again. Eventually I need a hearing aid to listen to the radio. The amp came with a 35amp fuse, and I can't find them anywhere, so I have a 30 for now. I need to go to a stereo shop and get a 35.

Could that be the problem? Or is it cause the amp gets so hot that you can boil an egg on it. It's a
1000W amp powering 2 x 400w subs in Mono.

it is because you amp is overheating, so it cuts out to protect the amp...my pheonix gold titanium series does it sometimes to on hot days, when im pounding the system with the seats up......take it to ure local audio shop and get it tested for voltage..
it make be over working and surging as well...yo need to get this checked before you damage the amp...
but yes, over heating is the problem..hope this helps

I have heard of this as... power clipping. Ususally cause by a bad ground or too small of wires( power). Even as bad as not enough juice from the alternator. I would check to see how it is hooked up before i get the amp checked.
IMO

Even if the amp is 2xch it´s not very common that you can runt it in 1x2ohm so my suggestions is to but one woofer on each channel.

I have 8 guage wire 2 subs on mono the 2 subs are hooked to each other then one runs into the amp....

As for hooking up the subs individually, forget it...not enough bass.

Pioneers for the subs and the amp was a $50 Peice of Crap amp...Dunno the name, but the american flag is on the box, I'd have to check when I get home... So over powering my amp? Should I get a bigger amp? Maybe 1500W?

nooo im thinkin amp too powerful for speakers...

u see...audios weird..
u really need to make sure everyting tuned properly...cause over powered amp could affect the amp negatively..or the speakers....and vise versa...i dont kno enough about it though..but no..u dont need more poweful amp lol u need a less powerful one..or u should turn the gain down on the amp...cause its prob runnign too powerful for the subs...ure amps def over working..since its over heating...ither get ti fixed by shop, by gettin them to check voltage..to see if u runnin at proper voltage..orr get a better amp, that has better coolling system..

also this will prevent u from blowing the subs as well...

Yeah that's what I was thinking, should get a liquid cooled amp with 800W. I'll check my gain and that later. And one point I was going through fuse like they were going out of style...

no lliquid cooled amps, they are not that good as they say it is,byt fan cooled are the best in my mind to go with........and to the power thing again..if you have a sud that is 250rms you can use an amp that is 300 or 350rms and not peck, peck is only at turn on of an amp that is 5 to 10 secounds of that, put the gain of this amp at 8 or 9 o'clock..
