installing euro light switch?

ok right now i have the regular canadian spec light switch, off parking lights, headlights and auto. i was wondering if i could simply trade out the auto lights for the euro switch which has rear fogs and no DRL's. i know it's easily possible on vw's and audi's. mk4's n whatnot. i was wondering if it would work on ours

I have never done this but, i've read that the big fog light switch you have is actually two buttons but in half for the back.....so im sure you can goto bmw and get the oem button to fit in. hope that helps.

yes you can swap them, but the rear foglight button won't do anything... no wires on the back to connect it to.
note that the foglight switch can be installed independantly of the headlight switch.
and the headlight switch will not operate any differently.. DRL's and everything will function the same.

I think the dealer can shut your DRL's off.
