Smoking a set of clear cornors

Thinking of getting new cornors for my car, but I want them to be black. Can't find any for sale anywhere. Anyone black out a set of clears? Any pics of it? And any tutorials on how to do this? Search didn't get my anywhere.

Be careful, most people screw it up by spraying them too dark and the light can't get through. I cracked mine open, removed the reflector, and sprayed two layers on the inside and outside. Wet sanded the outside between coats, and 3x clear coat.

When off, it's perfectly black... when on there is no visible difference in brightness from stock. (I had only one side done and compared... that's how I knew when to stop with the coats, then I repeated the same process on the other side.)

really, are they the v2 splitters?, they look alot more flat on the sides than the maxvelocity splitters ive always seen, at least thats how it looks in that pic, normally the velocity splitters always look like they dont fit quite right on the side, but from that pic urs look perfect, clean, hmmmm.....

sorry to hijack this thread,
