I know what you mean... doesn't make sense to me either. The specs on that 1000cc smart car boasts 0-60mph in 4.3 and 1/4mile in 13.7s. I think it's all in the launch. I wouldn't want to fry my $4000 clutch on a $250k car either.

it's heavier, yes.. but remember that smart car is completely gutted... even the panels have been replaced with CF parts. And who knows what tuning he did to the K5 engine. It's basically a seat, steering wheel, and engine in the smart frame.
