which deck would you put in your car?
alpine 9831 or pioneer 7700mp
i have the pioneer in right now and the alpine is jus sitting in my room. Im wondering if the alpine would be a better choice, any suggestions?

I've had nakamichi's! they are nothing compared to the Denon I had a while back...
I still think I preferred my 7995, and 9815 over the Nak cd-400.
I've had everything, and there's nothing now for me to try... maybe I'll go F1 status, if I can justify 4000g's

I've only owned Alpine decks and have been very happy with them. I love the way they look...not to blingy and full of Christmas lights like many new ones I've seen, but that's obviously personal preference.
I was at my stereo shop yesterday night and got word that the owner is getting in approx. 40 Alpine CDA-9853 units in that are factory refurbished. These are $500+ decks and he's going to sell it for $199. These are super nice decks and I would get one too but I bought a 9855 just last month from a MaxMember.

Way to revive a dead thread for a meaningless post.
Alpines are great, but
Nakamichi > Alpine
