Corner Bulbs??

What are the type that are used in our corners? Since I put my H1's in, the corners are way too yellow now for my liking, it's also cause I have clear corners. So what would be a good suggestion for the corners? I'd like them to match my angel eyes(nice, bright and white). Someone told me to get bulbs with the silver around them????

You should get the Stealth bulbs, they're orange bulbs with a silver coating. Great for clear corners.

something liek this http://www.stealthauto.com/Store/

No, no HID's YET

Yeah Mirek, something along those lines. But it gives off an amber colour I'd like to get white as possible..

I suggest the Osram DIADEM bulbs. They are turn signal bulbs that appear to be white, but light up yellow: LINK

Yeah, they give off a amber color. If you want white, just go to canadian tire and get ultra white bulbs.. plug and play. or hit up one of those ricer shops at pac mall

Why does it matter...the corner lights are always on...so unless the car is parked...orange is showing?
If you go white I think you can get a ticket (at least here in Ontario)...although I see many rice burners running white and blue
My euroclears came with a metal cover over the bulb and the orange is pretty minor reflecting off the clear alzak reflector....but I'm still thinking of splitting them open and spray tinting the lenses...
here are pics of my euro clears with orange bulbs and the metal shields

wonder if you could do the same metal shield with standard clear corners??

I'll try and take a pic tonight when it gets dark out and you'll see what I mean. With our depo kit I find that the corners are to yellowish, to blend with the lights. So that's why I'd like to go more whiter

Benny you don't have a pic of your buddy's lex at night with those lights on??

But I will check into those one's as an option. Thanks

Why not get LED turn signals? They're clear when not blinkin, and when u signal they blink amber. And also do Corner Delete Mod, so you put resistor in replacement of your front turn signals, and to get yoru front turn signals to blink, splice the wiring from the sidemarkers. So when u turn on your headlights, the parking lights stays off, but when u want to signal, the front turn signals will blink! Materials needed for the Corner Delete Mod:

Materials needed

2 - 6ohm resistors (found in the Jlevi LED package or purchased individually at http://autolumination.com/equalizers.htm)
4- 16 gauge (i used 18guage) 4 foot wires 2 different colors ex: Black/blue or brown/red etc.
12 - blue cable taps from radioshack, or any auto store.

Instructions:

I will assume you know the basics of e46 sidemarker removal.
1) take out the side marker
2) take out the turn signal in the front (unplug the bulb)
3) get 2 16 gauge wires around 3.5 to 4 feet in length
4) now fish the wire though the fender using a straight clothes hanger once your wire is run you now have 2 wires on both sides.
5) using wire tap-ins you will connect the newly run wires to the existing sidemarker wires (substitute a color)
6) cut the light plug in front off, and use tap-ins to put it on ur newly run wires (according to teh colors you pick)
7) now put a resistor on your remaining wire, which was ur old signal wire. a resistor tricks the car into thinking that there is a bulb there..

so basically you just tap the sidemarker wires for power and take the resistor to the original car front corner wires and fool the car into thinking its got corner bulbs connected anyways....

ok your done do the same on the other side, words of advice mount the resistor on something that wont burn, it gets very hot and will melt/burn.

PM me if u got anymore questions.

Do you have to go through the same steps to delete corners on the E36?

On my E36 328, I have three wires going to my corners, one is ground, the second is for the signals and the third is for corners. Can't you just cut the third wire (purple in my case)? If this works I think it will look better than any other solution ... IMO at least

Passengers side yellow wire let go, no corners but had signal...I didn't like it at all...So it's purple on the drivers then...hmmm wonder if the cops would bother you if you just snipped those wires...but those wires power our angel eyes..

Yes most of us do use this wire to power angels, so what I'm planning to do is cut the purple wire and route that to my angels (grey wire).

And I don't think cops should have a problem if your corners are not always on.
