Where to get angle rings

I burned 2 of my rings and I need a pair. Anyone know where I can get them. (prefare locally) I know ebay has like 4 of them for $70 us. Maybe some else need two rings and we can buy a set and split it.

LED lights, bmwF1 this isnt DDE lol.

You have CCFL? you burned the wire that lights up rght? you need the wire...not the plastic ring it clips into...electric surplus or something like that downtown shoudl have this wire, they have almost every fibre optic cable there. just make sure its plastic insulated so water wont affect it.

you don't need LED bulbs, you have CCFL rings. BMWF1, both rings are connected to a single transformer, this is why both of them blew.

swapping the + and - wires will not blow the rings, there is an inverter inside the transformer. even if you have a very cheap angel eyes set which doesn't have an inverter in the transformer, the rings themselves will still not blow.. the inverter will.

the rings can NOT be directly connected to a 12V power supply without the transformer & igniter, it will simply not work. It will also not blow the rings if touched for a short period of time.

disconnect your working angel eyes from the transformer, and plug in your 'dead' ones, see if they work or not. this is what the transformer looks like:

Also, the name of the store is Active Surplus. There is no point in calling them to ask if they have what you need.. it's basically a warehouse of electronics parts... everything the home hobbyist could possibly ever want or need, very inexpensive... but they'll be clueless if you ask them for parts for CCFL angel eyes, it's not their language. If however you told them you needed a double pole double throw momentary off momentary switch... they'll point you right to it. You'll more or less have to go there already knowing what you need, and will have to find it yourself. www.activesurplus.com

yeah, or you can build one... active surplus, ebay.. even umnitza should have them. Find out if the transformer is dead first... if it is, then take a picture of it and any writing on it and post it up.

Justin you were right. My rings are ok .. you saved me $$$ thank you - I owe you a beer

On the inverter there is a sticker which says:

model F12-138-2bm
PRI 12v-13.8v m.7a max
SEC load CCFL lamp 3w 2pcs

under the sticker it says basicly the same thing with "racing rash"

edit: one of the rings dont work.. meh I'm stuck with 3 rings. The transformer is teh same one as you posted.
