Valve Cover Gasket

Alrite well it seems like its time to change it. I searched the forums and found lots of good places.

First i called the stealers (moranello bmw) they wanted 350 for everything. Then i called a whoooole bunch of other people and the best deals were found at bimmersport and rmd. Rmd is a tad far away from me but charlie is perfect. Plus he gave me the best price.

So im gonnna book the appointment and be one of u cool kids and say lots of great things about him

Charlie's the best. Valve cover you could have done yourself in about 2 hours your first try. I bet Charlie can do it in under an hour.

the valve cover gasket is very easy to change yourself, but since you already said your not mechanically inclined i figure the usefulness of that information will only help you understand how long the stealership will take

if you can change your spark plugs then you can change the valve cover gasket. If want to get it done somewhere, the gasket is around 40$ and between 50-100$ for labour depending on how much you will get screwed.

yes a bit of oil when you change the plugs usually indicate a bit of failure on the inside, youll also notice weaping or leaking on the motor itself, usually around the "half moons".
