Looking to buy a second BMW (e30325is)?

I have been talking with my pops on working on a e30 perhaps the 325is (want 6cyl) and just making it look nice. Now you may ask, why I am souping up the e30 instead of mine? Well, one, I pay for all my mods, my dad doesn't, if we do a project car, I just to get to work on it without the expenses! LoL.

Anyways, any pointers/tips I should look for with the e30? I am going out to look at some this weekend with my pops.

I think they are a great base car and engine..
The cheapest for horses is a chip, exhaust, air filter, ignition kit..maybe some headers. Already that's going to cost ya a bit of $..There's all kindas stuff you can do to your car..and the engine's put out can create some nice power..depending on how ya build her.
