E36 Weird Problem
My friends e36 318 is doing something very weird. I tried to figure it out, but was unsuccessful. His car starts fine, you press the clutch, put it in gear, let go of the clutch and nothing happens, the car doesn't stall and doesn't move. It can be put in any gear and it revs perfectly fine, but will not move at all. Any ideas?

Something in the driveline must be broken, or your clutch is just 100% finished

I think the clutch or the pressure plate is toast.

1) If you can put it into gear then your clutch is not toast.
2) Main gear in the transmision is gone.
3) Unless you managed to strip all the gears in the rear hub, however I doubt that.
Having said that it's really hard to tell without actually looking at it.
