What year is your vehicle?
If it's OBDI do the 5 pedal stomp procedure, this will tell you the error code.
Have a good look and make sure all your conections are firm.

Ahh sorry Furious yes I did!
The car was very well maintained when i bought it but problems just seem to be poppin up around the engine every day.

yeah John's car was amazing, good buy you made, sorry to hear about the engine issues, i can vouche for John he's a stand up guy and wouldnt sell you a lemon. it was so well maintained when he had it. and hes just as meticulous with his new Z4 as well.
