Very Off Topic, but quick thing ive always wondered, does anyone know how many K the stock bulbs on TL's are? I love the shine of their headlights.

^ i have wondered this myself, they get me flashed quite often around here so i'd expect that they are proly around the 5000k range, they seem a lot bluer then the ones on the 5er and a lot more intense of a light, the 5er's seems to get defused all over and don't seem to go as far. i want to upgrade the bulbs this year to something more noticeable but im not sure what would be good (for the 5er i mean). but yes i do like the lighting system on the tl a bit better then that on the 5er.

I ran a TL on the highway with my 540I and from 100Kmh up to 220Kmh I had him by 8-9 car lenghts. Also my 540i/6 speed is stock, however the 540 with auto transmission is 7/10 slower in the 1/4 mile.

cool darkness, was this a new tl or the old one? new one i would have thought could keep up a bit better since the 540 is 280hp right? how much torque does that engine have? i can't remember...

Yea, but those 540's were underrated. The 6-speed ones are absolute monsters! They are rated at 282hp and 310tq. Like i said, they're underrated. Plus don't forget how well geared they are.

It was a new TL, the guy actually followed me to my exit. We pulled off to Tim Hortons and talked for a bit. He was shocked that I pulled him.
Having said that the TL is one sweet ride.
Also the 540 is under rated according to some dyno pulls they are getting over 310hp and around 340 ftp. For some reason BMW underated the Hp figures.
