Airbag light

Hi,

I just bought a 1995 318ti. Itís my first BMW and I was wonder if it is normal that when I start the car the airbag light on the dash stays on for about 1 min. The car has never been in an accident, (I knew the owner since he bought it brand new, so I donít think he lied). He brought it to the dealer and they changed all the seat belts cause they told him that was the problem. Is this normal? What can this be?

Thanks in advance,

Luigi
