driveshaft fell out when I was dropping in motor and tranny

should I be worried about this?

No, unless it was bolted on both sides @ the time.
If so then ya you have a problem.

it was bolted to the tranny, then i took out the tranny, upon reinstallation and it being attatched to the rear end of the car the drive shaft fell off.

So wait, you tried to put the motor, transmission, and driveshaft in as one unit? That doesn't make much sense.

Yeah I'm confused. The driveshaft running from your tranny to your final drive unit fell on the floor? It should be okay.. if it got bent in any way you'll get some incredible drivetrain vibrations, you may have to get it balanced... but generally, it should be OK.
