what does that have to do with what I asked..If you are saying your car cost you less I can see why... jks ...but really this is a hard decision..I can still fell the $ 800 I just spent on the clutch not to mention the linkage ...It was only 4 months ago...and now I am talking about selling it for just around what I sent in the last 6 months... So I am after opinions not humour...Thanks

I am not sure how much u can get for it....Try your best but the guy(dont remember his name) that sold his 87 325 he got about $10 500 so I guess your car is worth more then a 1 fish..
One of my friends was gonna sell his 87 GTI and some guy told him that is so good car its not worth selling it because he wont get good ofter ..

hey dood, ur car is almost 18 years ago, a classic. i think it's time to put it to a rest or sell it in most cases
but hey, the good thing is, there are tons of bmw cars out there, you can still get a newer one to enjoy.
i think owning a bmw is already somethnig so i'll probably go with a 318i.

My experiences with older cars is once you start sinking money into it, it never ends. Unless you have an attachment to it, or have inclinations on turning it into a collectors or track car, your likely better off financially to get rid of it, and buy a newer model. Your car's age is showing in repairs, and will likely require hundreds every month on average.
Don't know if there's a 'right or wrong' descision, but you just have to determine what's more inportant to you.
Tough dicision.
Good Luck.

due to the repairs I have done already and the money I have spent the only thing keeping it in my driveway is "attachment".If I sell It now I will miss it. Also I have done all the leg work for the next guy..( where all the parts are and how much). really any offer under 1500 would be insulting ...now that I think about it. It is worth more than that in parts. Little by little your opinions are helping me make the decision keep them a commin ..I am giong to need a drink .I think

If you can reasonably afford to keep it then do so, but if not then sell it. Its as easy as that. I know the emotional attachment might be too much, but you could always buy another one.....

Thats one nice 84 318i you have there. I have a 1985 polais silver 318i auto, bu your bodywork looks in better condition than mine. (my wheel arches are a bit rusty. Shame you have to sell her. I might sell mine soon for a 1990 E30 or E34 (if im lucky)
