Video Camera Recommendatinos

What video cameras do you use to tape the great events?
And what software do you use to edit the videos?

I need to upgrade to a new video camera any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I currently use the Sony DCR-TRV-17 and Adobe Premier 6.0 to edit the videos.

It all depends how much money you want to spend and for what use you will use the video camera for. I was on a tight budget so I got one of the lowest, but pretty decent Sony DV-camcorder. The quality is pretty good and it has past the 100km/h wind testing on the freeway

If you have the extra dough, you can go for the Sony VX-2000, those $5000 Cdn DV Camcorders. hehe

Another software program is MGI Video Wave.
Other camcorders to look besides Sony are Panasonic, Canon, & JVC. Each offer different functionalities. Maybe you can telll me what you are looking for in particular, in terms of your needs.
