Rust protection

Hey Guys,

Where's the best place (good job, good price, no bs)
to get the winter car rust protected
(u know ... rust check, krown, ziebart, etc)?

I've heard good things about rust check. it's like $100 a year for their service, and is definately worth it says most people.
I just got my car undercoated at my mechanic's shop since it was already in there for a variety of other things and it was about $85.
So i guess you could say you'll be looking at anything from $60 to $150 depending on where you go and what material you want them to use to undercoat the car. I chose the thick tar like substance as opposed to the thin oily like stuff. I've also seen a dry graphite like coating on some cars before...

Krown seems to be very good. I have never heard anything bad from them. Also they clean and spray all the proper drain holes in the car. And what ever one you go with try and watch them do it...never hurts to see if they are trying to rip ya.

I've been taking my car to Ziebart. $200 initially, then $40 every year to re-spray. They do a pretty good and thorough job. As Dave says... try to be there when they do it... some places say they are doing a complete job but cut corners and you get screwed in the end a 5-6 years down the road when rust starts coming out
