FS-E46 M3 engine w/complete drivetrain
posting this for autotrend, they have a complete engine and drivetrain from an e46 M3 at the shop that someone decided not to put in for reasons unknown to me. the only thing the engine is missing is the wiring harness as far as i know. contact Don at autotrend 416-696-2277 or via email through the site www.autotrend.net Don will have more information on the engine and or will get you in touch with the owner of it.
you can probably get this for $6,000..

They usually sell for about 7-8000 USD on ebay.
Around 10K with transmission.
I got mine wholesale for 8K CND with only 500km on it.

its out of my budget. its not as easy as dropping in a 330 motor since a 330 motor is just bolt on

An option for this Motor would be standalone management if there is no DME or wiring harness with the motor.
Bump for a great price.

Yes, same size motor, mechanically it bolts right up. The issue is with the electrical. My S54 conversion took about 8 months. then the second was about 5 weeks (waiting on a few parts).

give Charlie a call, he just recently completed a S52 into E30 conversion with great results. (i understand this one is S54)
into E36 it should be even easier IMO.
