Camshafts..
Bmw has only one camshaft or two?
Which is better for aftermarket, One Designed with moderate duration (244 degrees) and lift (9.5)
Or Designed with moderate duration (252 degrees) and lift (10.2)
both are priced the same 749 on bavauto. whats the difference between the two, both promise better low end and top end power.

haha, ya, cams are pricey, but remember you get 2 of them!
And if you've ever seen 6cyl cams they're HUGE, so you can sorta understand the pricing!

Spooner D. luckly, you (and I ) have m52's. Although i believe shriek makes aftermarket camshafts for our cars, they're pretty pointless. Get some s52 cams, and swap those in. I dont have them in my car, but from the reasearch i've done, i should. The s52 cams came on 96+ m3's. A lot of my owners crash their cars / upgrade their cams. They go for about 350 USD shipped on www.bimmerforums.com
fletch, how does a car built in 96/97 use a 1998 engine? does my 99 have a s54? cause that would be sweet

Well im gathering a list of parts to upgrade along with the mother of all which is the supercharger.
The main engine list is as follows.
Underdrive pulleys
Fuel regulater
Cams
super charger which comes with injectors, software, intercooler, intake and all hardware.
remus exhaust, possible headers.
Install an aftercooler (goes on after supercharger and cools the air even more using water/antifreeze mixture along with air cooling)
My question is basicly are cams worth it? will i see or notice anything at all?
The main goal is to get a good boost of HP (hence the super charge) but stay reliable
