Toyo RA-1 35% off from TOYO"S LIST PRICE.
Toyo tires have a deal on with BMW CCCA, 35% off of TOYO"S LIST PRICE on the Toyo RA-1 tires.
Please note that the 35% off is not applicable to the retailers list price, but to Toyo's list price. This offer is only for the RA-1 competiton tires.
Just helping to get the word around to all the BMW competitors.
Randy, please contact James at Toyo BC, I spoke with him earlier and I sent you a PM regarding this.
PS You have to be a BMW club member to get this offer and have to fill up the necessary info below.
http://www.toyoracing.com/NewRacer/NewRacersApply.asp
You also get some other goodies as well once you join in the R Group program.
See below

that's a pretty good special
where can we look up the reference prices?
how much would be for say x4 245/45/16 RA1s ?
also, how stiff is the sidewall on those? i saw they recommend a 8.0" rim for it, but the range includes 7.5" and 9.0" aswell. Would those dimentions be ok on my ET25 16x7.5 rims? (on a late E30)
i wish they would have 225 or 235 widths in similar dimentions, 205 would be too skinny for me.
Striker: are you taking advantage of the deal? which dimentions are you going for?
Thanks
Alex

Not bad, it might be time to get some R rated rubber then. Do you a list of prices??? So we can see how much they are list and then see how much we are actually paying? Where are the tires coming from?

Alex, it's easier to call your loca retailer for Toyo,s list price on specific prices. He will not give you the 35% off of his list, but of that on Toyo's list.
Talon Tires for example has the Toyo RA-1 listed for $262.00 but Toyo Canada has listed a bit higher, with the 35% off it will be cheaper than $ 262
I may take up the promo offer on these. They are strictly race tires though, they will only last ab out 3,000 Km on the street.
Side walls are really strong and there is great feed back about them. They are great in the wet with good threads and better when worn a bit running on dry track. On dry track the more they wear the better they grip so shaving them is suggested for competitors wanting early grip
You can see the promo info here
http://www.toyoracing.com/NewRacer/NewRacersApply.asp
and tech info here

225-50-16 is recommended for the ET25 16X7.5 rims, mine have the same specs and that's what I will be going with.

Any local retailer can sell you these, again, at 35% off of TOYOS list price. Please not this offer is for the RA-1 ONLY

Might be easier to email them them directly for pricing or calling up a local Toyo retailer

I'll check at work to see if we have a toyo book with list prices.
Static: You guys are getting speed rating and the tire compound mixed up.
These tires are R compound tires, meaning strickly for race/track. And as Striker said the speed rating is V and Z depending on the size i believe. But V and Z are pretty much the same anyways.
V = 240 km/h
W = 270 km/h
Y = 300 km/h
ZR = 240+ km/h

Nope we dont stock Toyo's, I believe we can order them, but I dont think we get that great prices on them, hence the reason we dont stock them.
