AVIC install help.

Hey guys.
Just got an Avic n2 and would appreciate a little help from the experts. Wondering If someone can tell me the most readily available locations for:
a) VSS -I think this is the black w/ white stripe at the radio harness
b) parking brake circuit - I know I just have to ground it, but I want it run to the parking brake with a toggle so it will appear to be "legal"
c) reverse indicator wire - anything closer to the dash than splicing in at the tail lights?
Thanks a lot,
Dave

The bentley manuals have all of the wiring diagrams for our cars:

I believe this should be able to help you locate the wires you're looking for...it sure helped me when i needed to install my piggyback ecu

as djcontra said.. check our wiring diagrams. I wired into the parking brake ground itself, a toggle switch would just switch to a legit ground as well. I tapped into the reverse indicator wire in my trunk, but I'm sure there are switches closer to the console as well, but it's not a big deal to run a wire back there so that's what I did.

I'd have to look again but it might be easier to wire everything up under the hood cause you have two sets of looms there, the loom connecting to the fusebox, and the main computer harness. Its up to you, but it sure beats having to run wires all the way to the trunk to tap into things like the tail lights

p.s. this is where the bentley manual turns into gold in your palms because it has what each wire does by colour coding which makes tracing a thing of the past

You're absolutely right. I'm sure there are places to tap into up there... for me it didn't matter too much since I had a bunch of other wires that had to go to the trunk for other stuff I was wiring up.. so I did it all at the same time.
