Read my last post in the "Aliens" topic.. I went on ranting about the same shit.. here we are looking for life, when a) we haven't even found all life on earth.. b) we cant get rid of the common cold.. LMAO if we come in contact with some other species, all they got to do is cough on us and will be screaming SARS for the next 10 years... Imagine if its infectious, we might even all die.

well i think this is awesome news, i shows that nasa really still does need to be there. but i can agree that maybe we need to focus a little more on stuff here at home. but then again space exploration has driven mankind to create great things, if it wern't for the space program and nasa, we wouldn't have all the stuff we take for granted every day, things like computers that dont take up rooms, the redundant systems in newer cars with cpus that make sure that the cpus don't mess up, tang LOL and other prepkged food that was ment to be used by astronauts going to the moon etc, i mean really had the us not started up the space progam, things nowadays would be a LOT different. so that is why i believe that the space program/nasa is a VERY good thing to have.

Well given the budget cuts that NASA is facing these days due to other "unforseen expneces" that the US is incurring its a miracle on its own that NASA is able to still continue to function on a world scale and perform these discoveries.

I remember watching something on discovery channel about a mission to Mars and they said that they would be capable of getting there in 6 months.

well they got there in 7 months. It really depends on the positioning of the earth to mars in their respectful orbits.
