Re: Blackout Tape

Where can i find this stuff? My friend wants to cover his "chrome" with blackout tape. Thanks, gsbadbmr

canadian tire or home depot im guessing...you can use electrical tape

you can get blackout tape at Canadian Tire.

Why would you ever want to do that? I dont like it, the chrome kidneys on a bmw are classic.....

not all chrome...just the rings...it all depends on the colour tho, sometimes it looks nice...blacked out grills on a black bmw look right if you get dark rims

E30's and E34's have chrome around the windows.. actually, all bmw's have chrome around the windows EXCEPT the E36. Its an option to have it blacked out called Shadowline Trim. IMO it looks much cleaner.

U can get it from the dealer, but its pretty expensive, and a pretty large hassle.
