Guys, there is (literally) less than 10 spots left for our April driving school. If you're considering taking part (and advantage of the free annual membership), please sign up ASAP.

If I register, and cannot make it, can I sell my spot or sell to your reserve list if you guys keep one?

I believe you have about 10 days prior to the school for a refund. If you cannot make the school (for last minute reasons) and try to contact us at least 3 days prior, your spot will go to someone on the waiting list and you will be given a "rain check" for another future Trillium driving school. More specific details about this topic are available on our website.

-Yes, first timers will be in a beginner run-group where 85% of the group have 0 track experience. The instructor takes you out for the first (slow) session describing the proper line and giving much guidance.
-Once you register for the school, you will recieve a package in the mail with a tech form that must be completed by a certified mechanic and brought on the morning of the school. Basic "certification" type requirements is expected from your vehicle. It's always a very good idea to bleed the brakes and replace the fluid with the best stuff money can buy (I think DOT 6.1 now?). Older cars (E30's) must have the control arm bushing carefully checked. (subframe mounts on E36's)
-You don't have to tell your insurance company about the school... it's not a race, so don't worry about getting in shit for it.
-All NEW students will have the club's annual $54 membership fee waived if they sign up for the April school (confirmed).

I tried to register but Step 1 requires a Membership Number.
I thought the membership fee was included for new members? Do I register via fax, pay to become a member, and then use the web to register for the event, less the membership fee?
Thanks!

^^^ the "free" membership was only a March promotion. Not sure if it's still in effect, either way... when registering just place a random membership number (starting with 97xx) to complete the fields on the website. The registrar will send you your proper membership number and info package by mail.

Just wondering, what are the requirements for these helmets?... Would my motorcycle helmet be acceptable?

For those who have attended the Mosport Performance Driving School, how much wear and tear does it put on the tires and brakes compared to the BMWCC Auto-x's?
I'm trying to justify if I want to spend the money for a one time tracking session in which I probably will not be doing again for several years. I'd have to buy a helmet (about $300-400ish I heard for a new one), another $400 for the school, and probably $$ for inspection and to change my brakes which seem to be wearing down right now.
