custom fabricated intake manifold

I have seen this on many e36's on the net, some moded ones go for thousand of american dollars. I know a good fabricator but he doesnt know n e thing about bmw's. If I were to give him my original m50 manifold and tell him to dublicate it but bigger would it end up being functional and increase power? If so I am goin into business with this guy especially for bigger intake manifolds. Imput is greatly appreciated.

mani;'s?

Good luck. I'd suggest doing some dyno pulls before and after. It's tough to sell things without having some data to back it up. Even with that...it's not easy.

Best of luck.

BimmerWorld is working on one to complement their Sunbelt cams. Basically, the M50 manifold for e36 is good enough, unless you're making 280+ WHP ... after that, the M50 and throttle body start to become a bottleneck. The one you've seen is likely the Schrick one, and it's apparently a good upgrade for an M52/S52, abut is useless for M50/S50.

Now if you're talking about an ITB setup, like the euro motor, then that might be pretty cool to have, but still usless unless you're making huge power.
